Many shipping companies serve Paros. Three of them provide the link with the port of Piraeus, near Athens.

The first, Blue Star Ferries, offers four crossings per day. Each one lasts at least three hours and some are four hours. The second company, Golden Star Ferries, operates seven trips a day for the same duration trip. SeaJets also offers seven routes and they are also faster: count only two hours and forty-five minutes at sea.

The difference in duration surprises you? It is explained by the use of different types of ferries: hydrofoil ferry, flying dolphins, etc. Indeed, not all sail at the same speed, which means that the crossing’s duration varies according to the route.
