Průhonice Park and Castle – UNESCO World Heritage Site near Prague
Průhonice Park is one of the largest landscaped parks in Europe covering 240 hectares. It is situated just few kilometers from the Czech capital, Prague. Park is the ideal place for relaxation and romantic walks.
It is a place where several fairy tales were filmed and still a place where Czech people like to have fairy tale weddings. Apart from large park there is also a castle and lake.

The best time to visit this park is during the spring and summer months when the park is in full blossom. However pleasant walks can be enjoyed during the whole year as there are around 40 kilometers of walking paths.
In winter the park is covered with snow and the waterfalls are frozen. The park is suitable for both young people as well as families with children.
The Průhonice Park and Castle, The Czech Republic
Park was founded in 1885 by Count Arnošt Emanuel Silva-Tarouca and except of forest with exotic trees you can see here also meadows and large alpine garden.
The basic admission to the park is 50,-CZK (around 2,-EUR) and you can get here by public bus from Praha-Opatov metro station.
