MadridBack to : Spain
Madrid is the capital and the most populated city in Spain. It is located in the heart of the country, easily accessible from all other Spanish cities. The climate here is very different from coastal cities: summer is very hot while winter is very cold. Madrid is one of the highest capitals in Europe, 600 metres above sea level. The city is full of monuments, squares, gardens, but also palaces, churches and convents: there are a lot of things to see in Madrid. Madrid’s museums are among the richest in Europe. But what we love about the capital is also the atmosphere: Madrilenians love to go out, especially in the tapas bars, which are very numerous. The streets are always full except in the early morning hours. Madrid is also an ideal city for shopping.
